They lacked understanding of commercial reality and possessed a complete inability to take into account the bigger picture. Re-active behaviour rather than pro-active was the norm. Difficulty communicating in anything but technobabble is frustrating. They couldn't understand that successful business customers don't want the 'cheapest' solution, they want the 'best return on investment'.
So it was obvious that there was a market for a solution provider that could communicate effectively with customers and provide honest, proactive solutions taking into account the business current and future requirements.
